Stylish couple's Wedding Story
Hey! As you read this, I'll be preparing to make my debut BBC radio interview this morning! Yikes! Tune in to BBC Radio Tees here around 10.45am this morning, where I'll be questioned over a 15 minute period or so about my role as a wedding blogger and to talk about my book, Style Me Vintage Weddings! Don't worry if you miss it, you'll be able to tune in to the station to listen later in the afternoon when the 'listen now' feature goes live on this page.

"Our florist was Linda Cottee who was amazing! She understood what we were after and made recommendations/gave suggestions based on the colours we wanted, types of flowers (seasonal) and style. She was the consummate professional and super nice to boot."

This
look is all about celebrating the natural beauty discovered in faraway
shores so go all out on your florals, royal wedding dresses presenting local flowers like
bougainvillea in all their natural glory. Remember we're capturing the
essence of a relaxing holiday in this design, so let the stunning
colours of the flowers speak for themselves, with a riot of pink blooms
presented in an unfussed fashion; we love the idea of freshly picked
wild flowers being presented en masse.
Focus on pink blooms and
aim for a range of shades and tones to create a rich ombre effect and
intersperse with creams, foliage and lotus pods for a natural yet
high-impact look. Keep vessels simple and in matt, soft metal and stone
tones; we love milk vessels sprayed gold for large outdoor displays and
simple bud vases in varying heights for tables.
Whether you're
getting married inside or outside, an aisle runner of pretty petals is a
simple way to add a huge impact to the ceremony and look to introduce
ribbons as a hanging backdrop or tied to chairbacks for high-impact but
low-fuss decor.
And finally, look for innovative ideas for the little details like sexy wedding dresses your guest book. This beautiful 3D artwork is in the perfect shade of pink and would look beautiful displayed for your guests to write a message on each butterfly.

Decatur Wedding at The Solarium from Anne Almasy
There are so many, many reasons I adore this darling Decatur wedding, if I sat down and listed them all, I’d fill up an entire notebook worth of prettiness. Not that I wouldn’t love spending my day gushing over the sweet details bursting from every image captured by Anne Almasy… I plan on doing that anyway. Because this is the kind of wedding that completely captured every ounce of your attention with lush, DIY florals, elegant tea length wedding dresses and a Solarium reception that will take your breath away. See it all in the full gallery.
From Anne Almasy… Lindsey, a user experience researcher, and Darin, a pilot, both love good company, good drinks, coffee in the park, crossword puzzles, leisurely mornings, brunch, dark bars, live music, yoga, kickboxing, travel, seeing the world, and Ernest Hemingway. They agree that the glass is half full. And, in their words, they were “really, really, really excited to be married!”

Lindsey and Darin wanted their wedding to be small enough to be intimate, but large enough to include everyone who should be there. They wanted a familial atmosphere, very cozy and conversational. “Sure,” they said, “it’s about us, our marriage and our commitment to one another, but it’s also about celebrating the amazing (and they are truly amazing) people in our lives, now connected through us.”

Calamigos Ranch Wedding Captured by Shooting
Calamigos Ranch Wedding from The Image is Found
Before I even begin gushing about this Calamigos Ranch pretty-fest, I am
going to ask one simple favor. That favor? Set aside some time this
afternoon to let yourself get lost in all the loveliness captured by The
Image is Found sitting in this gallery. Because if you happen to need a
pick me up, the prettiness in this post planned by Events of Love and
Splendor and the Bride and Groom will be just the ticket. The love from
these two is simply contagious, and you can see just what I am talking
about right here.
From the Bride...Being that we are both from the east coast but met in California, we wanted to share with our guests the beautiful state in which our relationship grew. We both have a huge love and appreciation for the outdoors and when we came across Calamigos Ranch, tucked away in Malibu Wine Country, we knew this was going to be the location for our big day. It offered the perfect combination of rustic charm and romantic knee-length wedding dresses that we were looking for.
I was lucky to have a groom that was just as involved in the planning process as myself, along with an amazing wedding planner. To save on costs and add some personal touches, we made wooden signs to display around the reception area and also built our own tiered cupcake stands. We also wanted a way to visually remember each guest that attended our wedding, so my husband created a wooden picture frame and attached horizontal strings of wire, which we could clothespin mini polaroids of our guests onto when they arrived. The rest of the decor was kept really simple and clean… no wedding programs or menu cards… just lots of flowers and candles decorated the space. Our guest favors were also nature inspired and we chose to give Blue Spruce tree seeds, which our guests could take home to plant and hopefully enjoy for years to come.
We were surrounded and overwhelmed by all of the love we received leading up to and on our wedding day and cannot thank our family and friends enough for all of their support and kind words. The day could not have been more perfect for us.

Hot City Hawker dress |
It's nice to have a creative friend . Especially when you know there will always be a garment for you in his collection. It can even cause you to do incredible things, like asking you to ask for the look-book: Do you remember ?
This season, I have not participated in shooting 'of Hawker but that does not stop me trying ALL parts of the summer. Starting with the dress Hot City I am eager to adopt the renaming "my dress Kylie Minogue" . I found it a little short for me so Sandrine added a few inches of fabric (I said that all its customers can enjoy the service of half-measure).
